چکیده
ABSTRACT We present an analysis of spectropolarimetric observations the low-mass weak-line T Tauri stars TWA 25 and 7. The large-scale surface magnetic fields have been reconstructed for both using technique Zeeman Doppler imaging. Our maps reveal predominantly toroidal non-axisymmetric stars. These reinforce wide range that recovered, particularly in pre-main sequence stopped accreting from (now depleted) central regions their discs. reconstruct large scale brightness distributions stars, use these reconstructions to filter out activity-induced radial velocity jitter, reducing RMS variations 495 32 m s −1 25, 127 36 7, ruling presence close-in giant planets 7 velocities provide example a case where mimic Keplerian signal is uncorrelated with spectral activity indices. This shows usefulness longitudinal field measurements identifying variations.

Mass and Temperature of the Twa 7 Debris Disk
We present photometric detections of dust emission at 850 and 450 μm around the pre-main sequence M1 dwarf TWA 7 using the SCUBA camera on the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope. These data confirm the presence of a cold dust disk around TWA 7, a member of the TW Hydrae Association. Based on the 850 μm flux, we estimate the mass of the disk to be 18 Mlunar (0.2 M⊕) assuming a mass opacity of 1.7 cm ...
متن کاملXMM - Newton spectroscopy of the metal depleted T Tauri star TWA 5
We present results of X-ray spectroscopy for TWA 5, a member of the young TW Hydrae association, observed with XMM-Newton. TWA 5 is a multiple system which shows Hα emission, a signature typical of classical T Tauri stars, but no infrared excess. From this analysis of the RGS and EPIC spectra, we have derived the emission measure distribution vs. temperature of the X-ray emitting plasma, its ab...
متن کاملChromospheric Activity of Rosat Discovered Weak-lined T Tauri Stars
We have started a high resolution optical observation program dedicated to the study of chromospheric activity in weak-lined T Tauri stars (WTTS) recently discovered by the ROSAT All-Sky Survey (RASS). It is our purpose to quantify the phenomenology of the chromospheric activity of each star determining stellar surface fluxes in the more important chromospheric activity indicators (Ca ii H & K,...
متن کاملMagnetic Braking of T Tauri Stars
We construct models for the rotation rates of T Tauri stars whose spin is regulated by magnetic linkage between the star and a surrounding accretion disc. Our models utilise a time-dependent disc code to follow the accretion process and include the eeects of pre-main-sequence stellar evolution. We nd that the initial disc mass controls the evolution of the star-disc system. For suuciently massi...
متن کاملConstraining the Evolution of Molecular Gas in Weak-Line T-Tauri Stars 1. Motivation
The formation of planets from protoplanetary disks is greatly influenced by the presence or absence of gas in these disks. The mass and lifetime of gas in disks obviously constrains the mass and formation-time of gas-giant planets. Moreover, even trace amounts of gas can influence the evolutionary process of solid particles from submicron size to planetary sizes. A number of papers have recentl...
